Iarnród Éireann will undertake a full track renewal of the country's busiest section of rail line.
The train line between Dublin's Connolly and Grand Canal Dock will close today until the 5th of January.
For the first time in twenty years, Iarnród Éireann will undertake a full track renewal of the country's busiest section of rail line.
The works will see 4-point-2 kilometres of track fully replaced from Connolly Station through to Pearse Station.
Irish Rail has apologised for the inconvenience caused by the essential works, but says the Christmas and New Year season sees the lowest number of passengers throughout the year.
