Three Members Of Children's Health Ireland Resign Amid Children's Hospital Delays And Hip "Scandal"

Three members of the board of Children's Health Ireland have resigned.

Dr Gavin Lavery, Brigid McManus and Catherine Guy tendered resignation letters to the Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill this morning.

It comes in the wake of further delays to the delivery of the National Children's Hospital and revelations about low thresholds for approving hip dysplasia surgeries at CHI Temple Street.

Forty per cent of the board of Children's Health Ireland have resigned in the past week.
