The trial of a man, accused of assaulting a care worker and attempting to murder three children in Dublin, begins today.

Riad Bouchaker, of no fixed abode, has pleaded not guilty to eight charges arising from this alleged knife attack in Dublin city centre more than two years ago, including three counts of attempted murder.
The alleged victims in the attempted murder charges are children – two girls and one boy.
The 52-year-old is also facing charges of assault causing harm, assault causing serious harm, and a knife offence.
The trial is due to open before a jury at the Central Criminal Court this morning.
