Tik Tok is the latest technology firm to announce jobs cuts , as the fall out from AI developments continues to impact the sector.
In a statement the company says its exploring a reorganisation to strengthen its global operating model for Trust and Safety.
Dublin is the firm's hub for Trust and Safety.
Tik Tok says it wants to ensure teams are stable and agile. It's thought around 300 jobs are at risk.
It employs over 2,000 people here.
However, the company also says hundreds of new specialist roles will be created in Dublin and there will be redeployment opportunities.
Minister for Public Expenditure Jack Chambers, says it's concerning to see more job losses in the tech sector, which shows the uncertainty the economy faces.
He says state agencies will engage with employees.
