Woman In Her 30's In A Serious Condition Following Assault In Dublin

A man is being held by Gardai in relation to the incident

A woman in her 30s remains in a serious condition in Beaumont hospital this morning after an assault in Dublin in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Gardaí in Coolock are investigating all the circumstances in relation to a serious assault at a domestic residence in Clonshaugh, Dublin 17, a spokesperson has said.

In a follow up search a man in his forties was arrested and is being detained at a Dublin Garda Station, where he can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
