County Champs Win During Busy Day In Kildare Football

Naas beat Eadestown

Naas have recorded a comfortable victory over Eadestown in Group A of the Joe Mallon Motors Senior Football Championship.

An early penalty sent the county champs on their way to a 1-15 to 0-11 win.

Also in Group A, Athy recorded a comfortable 1-16 to 1-09 win over Maynooth

In Group D, St Laurence’s beat Confey by 1-13 to 9 points.

Laurence’s had a poor start, but finished on top thanks to an impressive second half performance.

Felix Lawler led the recovery, while Podge Fogarty’s 48^th goal proved decisive.

In the Auld Sheebeen Athy IFC it finished:
