Rory McIlroy says he's ready to fight for a place at the top of the world golf rankings.

He took victory at his first PGA Tour event of the year - with a two-shot win at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

McIlroy's currently ranked as the world's third best player - behind leader Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele ((pron: sho-fel-ay)).
