Roy Keane has expressed an interest in the Republic of Ireland job.
The former national team captain has been out of front line management since leaving Ipswich Town in 2011, but he was assistant to Martin O'Neill with the Boys in Green between 2013 and 2018.
The FAI are believed to be at an advanced stage of their interview process, with England Under 21 boss Lee Carsley understood to be the front runner to replace Stephen Kenny.
