Wednesday Morning Sport: Liverpool Back To Winning Ways

Eadestown and Sarsfields will contest the Senior LGFA Championship Final.

Liverpool are back to winning ways.

A late Joel Matip goal handed the Reds a 2-1 win over Ajax in Group A of the Champions League last night.

Tottenham lost 2-nil to Sporting in Lisbon in Group D.

In the competition tonight, Graham Potter takes charge of Chelsea for the first time against Salzburg in Group E at Stamford Bridge.

That match kicks off at 8pm, with the other Group game involving Milan and Dinamo Zagreb.

In Group G, Manchester City are at home to Borussia Dortmund, with Erling Haaland set to face his old club.

8pm is the kick off time at the Etihad Stadium.

The other match in that Group sees Copenhagen host Sevilla.

Celtic are in Poland to face Shakhtar Donetsk in Group F from 5.45.

The other match in that Group is between Real Madrid and Leipzig.

Rangers host Napoli in Group A at Ibrox from 8pm.

In Group H, Juventus play Benfica and it's Maccabi Haifa against Paris Saint Germain.

BOXING

A world heavyweight championship bout between British pair Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is being pencilled in for Cardiff on December 3rd.

The duo have never met in the ring - Fury is the current WBC champion.


HORSE RACING

There are seven races over jumps at Sligo today, with the first of them off at 2pm.
