A Man Has Been Arrested After Coffee Was Allegedly Thrown At Labour MEP Aodhán Ó Ríordáin While Out Canvassing

Gardaí were alerted to an incident in the Clontarf area of Dublin last Friday morning.

A man has been arrested after coffee was allegedly thrown at Labour MEP Aodhán Ó Ríordáin while out canvassing.

Gardaí were alerted to an incident in the Clontarf area of Dublin last Friday morning, during which Mr. Ó Ríordáin is understood to have been confronted.

Gardaí say the man who was taken into custody has since been released, and their investigations are continuing.

It follows an assault on Green Party leader Roderic O'Gorman while he was canvassing last weekend.
