The man's body remains at the scene which has been sealed off for a forensic examination.

A man in his 40s has died in an early morning house fire at Lucan in County Dublin.

The man's body remains at the scene which has been sealed off for a forensic examination.

The coroner has been notified and a post mortem will take place later.

The fire occurred just before 6am this morning and investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí say they're aware of information being shared about the fire on social media which contains misinformation and fake news.
