A man is due in court this morning after allegedly assaulting a woman at an army barracks in Dublin.
It's alleged to have happened at Cathal Brugha Barracks in Rathmines in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The Defence Forces says it's aware of an alleged incident which happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning at Cathal Brugha Barracks.
The Military Police carried out an initial review and referred the matter to the Gardaí.
Gardaí then arrested a man for questioning and brought him to a station in the south of the city under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
He has now been charged and is is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
The Defence Forces says as this is subject to a garda investigation - it would be inappropriate to comment any further.
