Man Pleads Guilty To Attempted Child Abduction, Given Two Weeks To Leave Ireland

The court heard Visak Rajesh Leela had been intoxicated when he picked up the child as he left a party at an apartment block in North Dublin.

An Indian man has two weeks to leave the country after pleading guilty to the attempted abduction of a five year old boy.

The court heard Visak Rajesh Leela had been intoxicated when he picked up the child as he left a party at an apartment block in North Dublin.

His barristers said the incident last September was ‘two minutes of a mistake’ and the accused doesn't remember it.

The Judge said he doesn’t believe the 26 year old student is a risk to children.

He suspended a three year jail term if the accused leaves the country and doesn’t return for ten years.
