The incident happened yesterday afternoon
A man's been taken to Cork University Hospital after being bitten by a shark off the coast of West Waterford yesterday afternoon.
The Coast Guard, along with Ballycotton and Youghal RNLI's, responded to the rescue operation aboard a fishing boat south of Ardmore shortly after 4pm yesterday.
The man, whose leg was injured in the incident, was taken to hospital with the help of the Rescue 117 helicopter.
No one else on board required assistance.
