Two Kildare clubs in Leinster Hurling action this weekend

GAA

Two Kildare clubs will hope to reach Leinster Hurling Championship semi finals this weekend.

Naas play Camross of Laois in the Senior quarter final on Sunday, with the game throwing in at 3pm in O’Moore Park Portlaoise.

Kfm will have full commentary of that match with Ger McNally.

On Saturday, Leixlip play St Fechins of Louth in the last 8 of the Junior Championship.

The game throws in Darver at 1.30pm and Seamus Dillon will provide updates for us.

This morning’s Kildare Today programme at 10.45 and this evening’s Weekend Sports Preview show from 6.30 will look ahead to all the action.

SOCCER

Liverpool will have to wait to reach the Europa League knockout stage after losing 3-2 to Toulouse in Group E in France last night.

West Ham earned a 1-0 win at home to Olympiakos in Group A, while  Rangers beat Sparta Prague 2-1 in Group C.

In the Conference League, Aston Villa were 2-1 winners over A-Z in Group E, as Jamie McGrath scored in Aberdeen's 2-2 draw away to PAOK in Group G.

The final place in next season's League of Ireland Premier Division will be filled tonight.

Cork City take on Waterford FC in the promotion / relegation play off at Tallaght Stadium from 7.45.

RUGBY

It's Ulster against Munster in the United Rugby Championship tonight.

Kick off at the Kingspan Stadium is at 7.35.

Jack Crowley, Craig Casey and Athy’s Jeremy Loughman start for Munster, while Stuart McCloskey is in the Ulster 15.

The home side also have Rob Herring and Iain Henderson on the bench.

GOLF

On 2 under par, Tom McKibbin is 4 shots off the pace with the second round of the Nedbank Challenge getting underway in South Africa.

Leona Maguire is 3 under after round one of the 'Annika' tournament on the LPGA Tour in Florida.

Brooke Henderson leads on 8 under and Stephanie Meadow is even par.

HORSE RACING

The annual November jumps meeting at Down Royal starts today, with the first race off just after midday.

The Grade 3 Bottlegreen Hurdle is the feature with 'Irish Point' the favourite.

There are also 8 races on the flat at Dundalk, with the first off there at 5pm.
