FIFA Ban Captains Wearing #OneLove Armbands at World Cup; Rangers Sack Von Bronkhurst; Kildare Scoreboard Weekend Results, 6.30pm

The captains of England and Wales will not wear a OneLove armband during their opening matches at the World Cup today.

Harry Kane and Gareth Bale were among European skippers who planned to show their support for inclusivity and LGBTQ-plus rights.

FIFA had indicated they could be shown yellow cards if they went ahead with wearing the armbands.

England play Iran in Group B at 1pm.

In the same group, Wales play the USA at 7 this evening.

The Netherlands and Senegal kicks off at 4.
