It continues to be a busy weekend for Kildare Clubs in Leinster Championship action.
 

Senior Football Championship Quarter Finals:   

Naas play Summerhill of Meath at 2pm in Manguard Park.

Kfm will have full live commentary with Ger McNally and former Kildare star Ronan Sweeney.

 

Elsewhere, Blessington play Ardee St Mary’s in Echelon Park, Aughrim at 2pm.

Killoe Young Emmets V St Loman’s Mullingar, managed by Kfm match
analyst, Moorefield’s Philie Wolfe, in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, also throws-in at 2pm.

On Saturday,

Allenwood booked their place in the Leinster Intermediate Football Championship semi finals with a 1-17 to 1-14 win over St Malachy's.

Here's Allenwood manager Noel Mooney:

Mooney's side will play Ballylinan of Laois in the semis after their 5-16 to 1-10 win against Barndarrig of Wicklow.

Milltown beat Kilbride in the Junior Quarter Finals by 1-11 to 1-7.

They will play Kilbeggan Shamrocks of Westmeath in their semi final following their 4-6 to 2-2 victory against Ballymore.

Elsewhere, Man O'War beat Ballinacor of Wicklow by 2-09 to 0-10.

 

In the Senior Quarter Finals last night, it finished:

Kilmacud Crokes 1-11  Éire Óg Carlow 0-4.

Ladies Football

The Suncroft ladies footballers' run in the Leinster Intermediate Championship ended at the semi final stage.

They lost to Na Fianna of Meath by 2-11 to 0-8.

Soccer

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says winger Luis Diaz is in contention to play in today's Premier League game with Luton.

The Colombia international had been back in his home country after his parents were kidnapped.


His mother was quickly freed but his father remains missing.

After missing the last two matches, Klopp says they're yet to decide if he'll start today's match.


That one kicks off at Kenilworth Road at 4:30pm.


The only other game of the day sees on form Aston Villa travel to Nottingham Forest.


Kick-off at the City Ground is at 2pm.

Rugby


Diarmuid Kilgallen's try with 7 minutes remaining sealed a memorable comeback victory for Connacht in the first interpro derby of the season.


The homeside came from 20-3 down to record a 22-20 win over Ulster at the Sportsground.


That result means Peter Wilkins' side are the only team to win their opening three United Rugby Championship matches this season.


Leinster were 36 points to 27 winners over Ben Healy's Edinburgh in their URC clash at the RDS.

Naas' Jamie Osborne was awarded player of the match.


Elsewhere Munster kept up their unbeaten start with a 45-14 victory over Dragons.

Max Verstappen is seeking his 17th Grand Prix win of the season in Brazil this evening.


He starts the Sao Paolo Grand Prix from pole position when lights go out at 5pm.


The world champion also captured the win in the sprint race last night.


Ferrari's Charles Leclerc will start from 2nd with Lance Stroll of Aston Martin in third.

There's racing at the Curragh and Cork this afternoon.
 
The first of an 8 race card at The Curragh goes to post at 12:10pm.

The action gets underway in the Cork twenty minutes earlier.
