Bobby Charlton to be remembered at Old Trafford tonight

SOCCER

It will be an emotional night at Old Trafford as Manchester United pay tribute to the late Bobby Charlton before their Champions League match with Copenhagen.

A wreath will be placed on his seat in the Directors' Box and there will be a minute's silence before the match.

The Group A game starts at 8pm.


The other match in that Group sees Galatasaray  take on Bayern Munich from 5.45.


In Group B, Arsenal are away to Sevilla  from 8pm.

David Raya is set to get the nod once again to play in goal for the Gunners.

The other tie in that Group involves Lens and PSV Eindhoven.


In Group C, Union Berlin play Napoli and it's Sporting Braga versus Real Madrid.

In Group D, Inter take on Red Bull Salzburg and Benfica meet Real Sociedad.


There are six matches in the English Championship.

Leaders Leicester City host Sunderland, it's Huddersfield Town up against Cardiff City, Millwall play Blackburn Rovers, Norwich City take on Middlesbrough, Swansea City meet Watford and West Bromwich Albion face QPR.



In the SSE Airtricity League, the First Division play offs start this evening.

It's Athlone Town against Waterford and Wexford play Cobh Ramblers in the first legs of their ties.

The matches begin at 7.45.


CRICKET

The Irish women's team play Scotland in their concluding T20 international in Spain today.

SNOOKER

Ken Doherty plays Ian Burns at the Northern Ireland Open in Belfast this afternoon.


HORSE RACING

Tomorrow's fixture at the Curragh has been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions and there's going to be an inspection ahead of Thursday's meeting at Clonmel.
